During the period of Oct. 15-25, U.S. Park Rangers at Grand Canyon National Park responded to the following incidents:

Friday, Nov. 3

• Rangers investigated a motor-vehicle accident with no injuries at Trailer Village in which a recreational vehicle backed into a fire hydrant.

• Marthaleen Yazzie, 30, Chinle, was cited for driving with a suspended license after a rangers made contact with a passenger in Yazzie’s car.

Saturday, Nov. 4

• Leroy McCabe, 25, Grand Canyon, was cited for being under the influence of alcohol when rangers responded to a report of a man passed out behind Maswik Cabins.

• Rangers responded to a request for assistance from the Coconino County Sheriff’s Office for a welfare check on occupants of a trailer where neighbors had reported a possible fight in progress.

Sunday, Nov. 5

• Veslie Harvey, 31, Pinon, was issued a violation notice for no vehicle registration and no vehicle insurance after rangers contacted him on a traffic stop.

• An emergency medical call was taken at Maswik Lodge regarding a 7-year-old child (problem not reported). The parents of the child refused transport.

Monday, Nov. 6

• Rangers and Amfac Fire and Security officers responded to a report of a dumpster fire near the Bright Angel Lodge Cabins. Personnel responded with Engine One and extinguished the fire.

• Rangers responded to a report of trespassing at Rouzer Hall dormitory. The investigation is continuing.

Tuesday, Nov. 7

• Jason F. Secody, 19, Tuba City, was arrested for an outstanding warrant when he was contacted by rangers who were responding to a report of a passed out person at Victor Hall dormitory.

• Rangers responded to a report of a burglary at the housing area at Desert View. The investigation is continuing.

Thursday, Nov. 9

• An emergency medical call was taken at Powell Memorial of a 54-year-old woman in cardiac arrest. The patient was treated and flown to Flagstaff Medical Center.

• An emergency medical call was taken at Grand Canyon Walk-In Clinic of a 56-year-old woman with difficulty breathing. The patient was transferred to clinic staff when it opened.

Friday, Nov. 10

• Eddie Camacho, 39, Las Vegas, Nev., was arrested for driving while under the influence of alcohol after he was contacted by rangers in front of the Maswik Lodge.

Sunday, Nov. 12

• Rangers responded to a call regarding a motor-vehicle accident of a vehicle hitting a deer on Desert View Drive (State Route 64).

• An emergency medical call was taken at the Yavapai Lodge of a 37-year-old woman with arm pain. The patient was transported to Flagstaff Medical Center by Guardian ground transport.

• Berna Brown, 28, Grand Canyon, was cited for disorderly conduct/fighting after rangers were called to R Street in Trailer Village for a report of a fight in progress.

• Thomas E. Fisher, 42, Grand Canyon, was arrested for assault with a dangerous weapon after rangers contacted him at his residence in response to a domestic dispute call.

Monday, Nov. 13

• David Gould, 48, Grand Canyon, was cited for disorderly conduct/threatening when rangers were called to the Brown Building dormitory regarding a dispute.

Tuesday, Nov. 14

• Rangers and Amfac Fire and Security officers responded to a general alarm regarding a report of smoke from a residence on Albright Street. Engines 1 and 2 responded to rule out a chimney fire.

Wednesday, Nov. 15

• Rangers and Amfac Fire and Security officers responded to a general alarm regarding a tractor fire near the dump. The tractor was still smoking when the engine arrived and was extinguished by engine crew.

• Artemjo Antonio, 22, Pinon, was cited for driving with no valid driver’s license after he was contacted by rangers on a traffic stop on Desert View Drive (State Route 64).

• Christopher Chee, 26, Grand Canyon, was cited for being under the influence of alcohol after rangers responded to a call regarding an intoxicated person at Victor Hall dormitory.

Thursday, Nov. 16

• Christopher Chee, 26, Grand Canyon, was cited for being under the influence of alcohol after he was contacted by rangers who were responding to a call regarding a fight in progress at Victor Hall dormitory.

• An emergency medical call was taken at Amfac Distribution of a 36-year-old man who had suffered a seizure. The patient was transported to Grand Canyon Walk-In Clinic.
