GC VILLAGE — Grand Canyon Middle School's soccer team improved to 5-0 on the season with a 9-1 victory over Seligman last week.

Eddie Tobin scored four goals, Scott Olsen and Ryne Boone each had two and Justin Kramer had one in the lopsided win.

Boone and Olsen had three and two assists, respectively. Assists were also recorded by Kramer and Christopher Streit.

It was indeed a pretty game," said coach Eric Gueissaz. "It was really a pretty show of competence by the kids."

Melissa Skeet had a standout match on defense with two saves. Fabienne Gueissaz, Matthew Beckerleg and Kramer were other defensive standouts.

The Phantoms expected to play Williams Saturday, but the visitor did not show up for the match.
