The National Honor Society is the nation’s premier organization established to recognize outstanding high school students. More than just an honor roll, NHS serves to honor those students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of scholarship, leadership, service and character while maintaining a minimum 3.3 grade-point average.
NHS members took part in the ceremony and an oath was taken by the inductees. National Park Service ranger Ronnie Gibson served as guest speaker. Afterward, the students, parents and school officials enjoyed cake and punch.
