Letters to the Editor<br>

To the editor:

After 10 years, the Grand Canyon/Tusayan 4-H Club is closing.

We would like to thank the Grand Canyon/Tusayan community. The businesses have been generous in their donations of money, food, meeting places and discounts for our club. Our thanks to the Grand Canyon School, the churches and the Community Center for all their assistance.

We also want to thank the friends and parents for being project leaders and helpers in all our endeavors. And a special thanks to the Grand Canyon News for helping us get the word out (usually at the last minute) regarding all of our meetings and events.

I personally want to thank the 4-H youths themselves. Those who have joined me over the years, and especially those who have stayed the whole course with me. I have enjoyed all of you. While you have been a challenge sometimes, you have been a blessing at all times, and a lot of fun.

I also would like to thank my family – my kids, grandkids and great-grandkids – for all of their help along the way.

I am a firm believer in 4-H. Through fun projects, it helps to train our youth in basic life skills; from self-confidence and decision-making to relating to others and community service. It has been my pleasure to serve as the Community 4-H leader.

Again, thank you on behalf of the 4-H Club and myself.

Alberta Booth and the Grand Canyon/Tusayan 4-H Club
