Students celebrate Homecoming<br>

Juniors won first place for the best-decorated wall. They are (from left, top row) Cody Betten-court, advisor George Haughton, (middle row) Julie Haughton, Kyisha Cann, Mary Spoehr, Jenna Diaz-Gonzalez, (bottom row) Janna Barth and Nikki Harvey

Seniors Juan Davilia and Sarah Monfort were selected by students as this year’s homecoming king and queen.

After the games, classmates attended the annual dress-up dance in the Arizona Room, which was decorated with black and white streamers and multi-colored masks. Masqueraders danced to hip-hop-old-pop and tip-top DJ music.

Junior Nikki Harvey said that the best part of the dance was “to see lots of kids actually dancing, together.”

Fellow classmate Jenna Diaz-Gonzalez enjoyed “dancing with friends and doing the Electric Slide,” while senior Brian Skeet took pleasure in the seniors’ right to “get in free.”

As a highlight to her evening, junior Sonya Garza said, “I dressed to match the decorations of black and white. We looked good together.”
