To the editor:
On behalf of the sixth-grade class I would like to thank all of those who helped with the Indian taco dinner held Thursday, Feb. 17.
We made about $1,200 at the dinner and served about 200 people. The sixth grade has raised over $4,000 – only $3,000 more to go.
I’d like to thank the following people and businesses who helped:
The Grand Hotel for the beans.
The Quality Inn – paper products.
Delaware North – soda, water, cheese and tomatoes.
McDonald’s – lettuce and onions.
Fry bread makers – Tina Yazzie, Paulynn Komalestewa, MaryAnn and Marla Poleyquiva, Leona and Shelly Talker, Dorian Dandy, Ina Zeena and Ida Torivio.
Also helping in the kitchen and multi-purpose room – Dale and Angie Kissner, Ken and Annie Phillips, Kelley Ingols, Sara Schoblom, Scott Rommel, Lori Bowman, Ben and Norma Gomez and Clarinda Vail.
Also, a big thanks to John Vail and Emmons Berry for the great music and to all the sixth graders who helped serve food and drinks.
Our next big fundraiser is the Silent Auction and Non-Talent Show on Wednesday, March 16, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the MPR at Grand Canyon School. You can contact Kelley Ingols or me at 638-2461.
