Park rangers at Grand Canyon responded to the following. All incidents are on the South Rim unless otherwise indicated.
Tuesday, Nov. 28
A visitor was warned for failing to pay the entrance fee.
Wednesday, Nov. 29
Visitors were told to return a picnic table to its proper location after they dug it up from its anchors and relocated it.
Rangers were unable to locate the owners of two barking dogs that were the subject of a noise complaint.
A bus driver received a written warning for unauthorized stopping and for idling.
An individual at Rouser Hall was cited for intoxication and for an outstanding county warrant.
Highway 67 was officially closed for the winter season.
Rangers were on the lookout for a fugitive wanted on a Grand Canyon warrant for failure to appear.
Thursday, Nov. 30
Two juveniles were involved in an assault case.
Friday, Dec. 1
A van flipped on to its side at the intersection of Market Plaza and Center roads.
Saturday, Dec. 2
Screams were heard over the administrative radio network but all units responded that the situation was normal.
Two reports of trespassing were unfounded but one individual contacted was warned for having a suspended license.
A van ran into a ditch.
Sunday, Dec. 3
Rangers cited an individual for drug possession.
A pipe burst on the North Rim, due to cold weather.
A visitor complained that their party could not fit three tents at their site in Mather campground.
A loose dog was reported.
Monday, Dec. 4
Low temperatures triggered fire alarms.
Tuesday, Dec. 5
Rangers made four traffic stops, citing a driver for going 54 in a 45 mph zone.
Two people were verbally warned for violating terms of their backcountry permits.
Rangers provided backup to the Coconino County Sheriff's office for a disturbance.
