ADOT meeting planned tonight
The Arizona Depart-ment of Public Transportation is hosting a meeting tonight to discuss proposals for safety improvements to State Route 64 through Tusayan. It will be at the Squire Inn from 6-8 p.m., with a brief presentation at 6:30 p.m.
Roundabouts are being considered, along with road widening, bicycle lanes, pedestrian crosswalks and medians. The project would be done in phases over the next several years.
ADOT officials will be present with conceptual drawings and available to answer questions and take suggestions.
This is the third meeting with ADOT to discuss options.
