The Grand Canyon varsity Phantoms played hard but to no avail against three-time conference champs Chino Valley last Saturday. "Everyone gave 110 percent," said Head Coach Tom Bruno. "They moved and hustled and put up a good fight but with only three substitutes to put in, they were exhausted." The Phantoms play Northland Prep at home this Friday afternoon. It promises to be a more even match-up for both teams. "They're much closer to our size," Bruno said.
