Flute contest held last weekend

Over the July 4 weekend, James Peshlakai hosted a flute and frybread competition at the Native American Art Show in Tusayan. Winners in the solo competition were Tony Duncan - first, Jeremy Meyers - second, and Calvin Long - third. Duet winners were Duncan and Darren Yazzie - first, and Calvin Long and Gabriel Yaiva of the group Native Renaissance - second, David Brush and Meyers - third. There were no entrants in the frybread contest.
