Canyon Corner
Benefit dance for Fuhrmans this Saturday
To help Peggy and Marcus Fuhrman, two former Grand Canyon teachers facing medical and other costs, there will be a fundraiser featuring Exit 64 at the Community Building on Saturday from 6-10 p.m.
The cost is $10 in advance, or $12 at the door. In addition to live music, guests will enjoy pizza and soft drinks donated by area businesses.
Food will be served from 6-8 p.m. followed by desserts. Beer and wine will be available for sale for $2.
A raffle will also be held and prizes donated by area businesses will be given away.
The Fuhrmans taught for several years at Grand Canyon. Marcus taught high school English and Peggy taught fourth grade.
Marcus is currently battling cancer and several Grand Canyon residents are organizing this fundraiser, with all proceeds from the event going to help the Fuhrman family.
