Meeting set to review Transportation Plan

The Park Service and Forest Service will host a meeting this evening at the Squire Inn in Tusayan to discuss the South Rim Transportation Plan. It will be in an informal, open-house format and will run from 5-8 p.m.

There will be no formal presentation but officials will be available to take comments and answer questions.

There will be another meeting in Flagstaff tomorrow, at the same times, at the Coconino National Forest Supervisor's office, 1824 S. Thompson.

The 30-day comment period closes on March 19. The document is available electronically on the Web at www.nps.gov/grca/trans.htm. Comment by mail to Superintendent, Grand Canyon National Park, Attn: Office of Planning and Compliance, P.O. Box 129, Grand Canyon, Ariz., 86023.
