Park plans 90th anniversary celebration
Grand Canyon National Park's will celebrate its 90th anniversary with a grand opening of the Verkamp's Visitor Center on Thursday, Feb. 26, at 1:30 p.m.
Join Park Superintendent Steve Martin and others for cake and a brief ceremony commemorating the park's 90th anniversary and the opening of the new visitor center on the Rim.
Cake will also be served at 11:30 a.m. at the Grand Canyon Visitor Center located at Canyon View Information Center in celebration of the park's 90th anniversary.
Grand Canyon became a national park in 1919.
