JACOB LAKE, Ariz. - The Arizona Department of Transportation will reopen State Route 67 from Jacob Lake to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon May 15. ADOT closes the highway each winter when the snow season starts and reopens it in the spring.
ADOT crews started working on the 30-mile stretch of highway the first week of April to assure removal of all snow and ice from the roadway prior to the scheduled opening date.
