GRAND CANYON, Ariz. - Dr. Peter Senge, author of The Fifth Discipline, and Founding Chair of the Society for Organizational Learning (SoL), will speak at Grand Canyon National Park Sept. 8 from 7-8:30 p.m. The topic of his interactive presentation will be his latest book, The Necessary Revolution: How Individuals and Organizations are Working Together to Create a Sustainable World. This free presentation is open to the public at Shrine of the Ages auditorium located at the South Rim of Grand Canyon.
During Dr. Senge's time at Grand Canyon he will be conducting a Leading and Learning for Sustainability workshop for National Park Service leaders and invited partners. The workshop will help participants excel at seeing systems, collaborate across boundaries, and create solutions for sustainability. Through this workshop, National Park Service leaders and partners will be able to create a clear strategic vision of how healthier social and environmental systems are integral to a sense of purpose.
Dr. Senge is a member of the National Parks Second Century Commission whose purpose is to prepare for the Centennial of the National Park Service in 2016.
