ADOT reopens State Route 67 to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon

FLAGSTAFF - The Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) reopened State Route 67 from Jacob Lake to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon on May 15. ADOT closes the highway each winter due to anticipated heavy snow fall and reopens it each spring.

ADOT crews started removing snow and ice from the thirty mile stretch of highway the first week of April to ensure that they would be able to reopen the roadway by the scheduled opening date.
