'Live Drug Free' poster contest this month

Competition open to all sixth grade students

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz.- Coconino County Attorney David Rozema is pleased to announce the second annual County Attorney's "Live Drug Free" Poster Contest, which will take place in conjunction with Red Ribbon Week later this month. The contest is open to all sixth grade students within Coconino County. Winners will be announced in December.

"This contest is a fun way for kids to integrate the live drug free message with creative artwork and promote the drug free lifestyle in our elementary schools. We had a lot of fun last year and look forward to even greater participation this year throughout the county", said Rozema.

The grand prizewinner will be featured on this year's "Live Drug Free Calendar," which will be distributed throughout Coconino County. There are many nice prizes awarded in the contest, with the grand prizewinner's class receiving an all expense paid educational fieldtrip and $300 to spend on classroom materials.

Sponsors for the contest include the County Attorney's Office, Flagstaff Metro Board, Citizens Against Substance Abuse, Coconino County Alliance Against Drugs and Western Navajo-Hopi Meth Task Force.
