GC School concerts to be held Nov. 3
GRAND CANYON, Ariz. - On Nov. 3 at 6:30 p.m., the Grand Canyon High School and Middle School bands will perform in the school's multi-purpose room. This concert will include all high school and eighth grade band members.
The beginning high school band will open the performance with several selections, including West Coast, Sunset Rock, Drum Jazz, and Road to Tabasco. Following this group will be a short "old-time" silent movie produced by the high school film class. The movie, The Sore Loser, stars Dulce Jaime and Jaymie Petzoldt, and co-stars Ricky Saavedra and Chris Vessey.
Closing the evening will be the advanced high school band, being joined by the eighth grade band, for a selection of rock, classical, and Irish tunes. Songs include The Ring of Kerry, Freetown, the Theme from Peter Gunn, Proud Mary, and Largo and Finale from Dvorak's New World Symphony.
The concert is free and open to the public.
