Deadline for applications is Sept. 15

GRAND CANYON, Ariz. - Members of the Grand Canyon Rotary Club are offering $1500 in community grants, but the deadline for applications is just around the corner. Applications must be submitted before Sept. 15.

The award winners will be publicly announced at 6 p.m. The free chili tasting gets under way shortly after 5 p.m. Chili submissions must arrive before the 5 p.m. deadline. Entry categories include traditional chili, non-traditional chili, vegetarian chili, salsa, tortillas and cornbread. Category winners receive $50 each.

Grant requests can be sent to the Grand Canyon Rotary Club Community Grants Committee at P.O. Box 696, Grand Canyon, Arizona 86023.
