Happy holidays and merry Christmas Tusayan and Grand Canyon residents

As we head into this wonderful season of joy and sharing, I think of all the great reasons we all live here. We truly have a great gift of living in a small town and all that it affords us. Yes, there are politics and differing views, but we share a wonderful location and the opportunity to be directly involved in so many things that are lost in an urban city. We can voice our concerns and be heard. We can sit and talk about issues that concern us and get answers from people we know, rather than someone on television. We have a world heritage national treasure next to us that we can enjoy at any time and share with others from around the world. We are on the verge of some great and wonderful things that will provide opportunities for families to take root and build something for themselves. We are truly blessed.

As we enjoy this time, remember that there are others who have not been as fortunate and this is a difficult time for them, either financially of emotionally. Please take a moment and see how you can share your blessings and strength in supporting someone else through a difficult time. They may have lost someone this last year and are feeling the loss during this emotional time. Reach out, not to invade but to simply support and let them know they have friends and family that are there for them. Maybe you have some extra food, toys or funds you can share with someone less fortunate and make their Christmas a little brighter and fulfilling for both of you.

On behalf of your Tusayan Town Council, let me wish each of you a most happy, safe and merry Christmas. May each of you feel the friendships around you and let differences or past mistakes or political views be set aside and share in this time of joy and giving as a community. Thank you for the opportunity to serve you as your Mayor and on the town council and we look forward to working together in the coming year.

Respectfully,

Greg Bryan & the Tusayan Town Council
