Bright moments in life are those times when things just seem right. They can be big accomplishments like graduating from college or getting engaged or married to the love of your life. They can be small as well.
Legendary blind saxophone player and philosopher Rahsaan Roland Kirk talked a lot about bright moments. He even wrote a song called Bright Moments. On a recording from 1974 recorded live at the Keystone Korner in San Francisco, Kirk describes a bright moment like this:
"Bright Moments is like being with your favorite love and you're all sharing the same ice cream dish. And you get mad when she gets the last drop. And you have to take her in your arms and get it the other way."
Sounds nice, right?
A great way to celebrate a bright moment in your life is to send us a photo. Tell the world, or at least the community you live in, about your engagement, 50th wedding anniversary, graduation or the birth of a child.
Let the News help you commemorate the milestones of you and your family's life.
