Rotary touts service above self, offers Spring Community Grants

Deadline for local grant applications Friday

GRAND CANYON, Ariz. - Members of the Grand Canyon Rotary Club are offering $1,500 in spring community grants, Grants are awarded to non-profit organizations for programs and projects that benefit the local community. According to Brent Kok, club president, the group has already helped Cub Scouts, Math Parent Nights, School of Rock and Kaibab Learning Center with fall community grants. This year's spring recipients will be announced at the annual Sunset Supper to be held on June 9 at Moqui.

Applying for a community grant only requires taking a few minutes and writing a letter to Rotary describing your need and how this money will help. Be sure to include the name of your organization and how many people you hope to help.

Grant requests can be sent to the Community Grants Committee at P.O. Box 696, Grand Canyon, Ariz. 86023.
