GRAND CANYON, Ariz. - This Saturday, Grand Canyon Rotary on the Rim will host their annual Holiday Dinner Dance. Doors open at 6 p.m at the El Tovar.
The evening of dancing, auctions and raffles will also feature specialty entrées from El Tovar Executive Chef Matt McTigue. Exit 64, a local band, will take care of the music.
"It's always such a wonderful event," Rotarian Clarinda Vail said.
This year, Rotarians will sell tickets for cash prizes ranging from $100 to $5,000. The tickets are $20 each and can be purchased from any Rotarian. There will only be 1,000.

This event is a major fundraising effort by Grand Canyon's Rotary on the Rim. Proceeds pay for local community grants, service projects and scholarships for students pursuing post-secondary learning.
Not only does Rotary organize the dinner dance, throughout the year the club arranges community cleanups, the annual Grand Canyon Easter egg hunt, chili cook-offs and community grants and scholarships. The club has also pledged to build the community ramada for the future school/community park in Tusayan.
"Rotary has committed to over $10,000 over the course of three years," Vail said. "We met last year's commitment and now we're working on this year's."
Dinner tickets are $50 each and are available from any Grand Canyon Rotarian, on EventBrite or by contacting Yvonne Trujillo at email@example.com.
The Rotary Club has made arrangements with El Tovar Lodge and Red Feather Lodge for special room rates for this event.
