Just like peering down the Grand Canyon, finding the ideal dining atmosphere can sometimes feel overwhelming. Whether you could do with a quick pick-me-up or want to treat yourself to fine cuisine after a long day of sightseeing, you can find it all here.

Dining options

If you are looking for a general store with groceries, clothing, and gifts, look no further than Canyon Village Marketplace, located at Market Plaza. The store is open daily year-round. Additional hours vary by season. To satisfy your deli desires, visit the Delicatessen at the Marketplace, in front of the General Store.

For fine dining in an upscale restaurant, be sure to visit the Coronado Room located inside Best Western Premier Grand Canyon Squire Inn. Enjoy a wide selection of wine and steaks cooked to perfection. Reservations are not required but can be made by calling (928) 638-2681.

The Grand Canyon Dinner Theatre & Steakhouse is a must see experience. The dinner that comes with the show is bountiful, served family-style with a great range of entrées and bowls and platters of side dishes delivered to every table. The Steakhouse features flame seared steaks, chops, poultry, and fish specials. Vegetarians have not been forgotten in either dining area and patrons can belly up to a monumental western bar for drinks and banter with colorful local bartenders.

Get your espresso on at the Grand Canyon Coffee & Fudge Emporium located in the Grand Canyon Dinner Theatre building. Espresso, lattes, cappuccino, all the standards plus fresh baked goods, homemade fudge, and an amazing array of old fashioned hard candies and free Wi-Fi are available every day.

Lattes, cowboy coffee, fresh-made sandwiches, Wi-Fi and computers are all available at R.P.'s Stage Stop, located in Tusayan. You will also find a wide selection of apparel, jewelry, gifts, books and more for your souvenir needs. Call (928) 638-3115 for more information.

A local favorite, We Cook Pizza and Pasta in Tusayan serves hand tossed pizza, pasta, sandwiches, fresh salad, world famous wings and much more. Enjoy an ice-cold beer and a great selection of wine. Dine in or take away.

Grand Canyon Wendy's, located in Tusayan, serves square hamburgers the old fashioned way. Enjoy breakfast, salad, French fries ice cream and more. Wendy's is open seven days each week.

Yavapai Cafeteria dishes up food the whole family will love with a wide variety of home-style selections for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Beer and wine are available.

For exquisite dining and a sophisticated atmosphere visit the El Tovar Dining Room, located on the Rim. The restaurant is open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Dinner reservations are required. Call (928) 638-2631 ext. 6432.

There are several different dining options in and around the Bright Angel Lodge. The Arizona Room, located on the rim next to Bright Angel Lodge, is open daily for dinner and for lunch during peak season. No reservations are accepted.

For a hearty meal, visit the Bright Angel Restaurant, located in Bright Angel Lodge. There is also a lounge to quench your thirst.

To get that much needed caffeine boost, stop by the Bright Angel Coffee House, also located in Bright Angel Lodge.

Reward the kids (or yourself) with a trip to Bright Angel Fountain, located outside the Bright Angel Lodge on the Rim. There you will find an assortment of ice cream and snacks.

Dine in an authentic 1930s filling station on Route 66 in Williams at Cruiser's Café 66. Cruiser's offers steaks, burgers, salads, seafood, pasta and vegetarian dishes in addition to nightly music. Enjoy locally brewed beer at Cruiser's, created at Grand Canyon Brewery next door.

Located in Maswik Lodge at the west end of the village, Maswik Cafeteria provides a reasonable menu variety for all ages. Only a quarter of a mile from the Rim, it's a great place to stop and refuel before enjoy the many hiking trails on offer.

If you are craving pizza, Pizza Factory on Route 66 in Williams builds pizzas that will satisfy your appetite. In addition to pizza, the family-owned restaurant offers pasta, calzones, salad and sandwiches in addition to Sedona's Oak Creek Brewery, Echo Canyon wines and beer from Williams' Grand Canyon Brewery.
