WILLIAMS, Ariz. - The Williams Vet Clinic has gone mobile.

Because many of the clinic's clients come from the Grand Canyon/Tusayan and Valle area, vet staff bought a mobile unit to bring the clinic to them.

"We thought it would be nice if we made it more convenient for them, and we also feel that there are some animals up there, because of the inconvenience that may not be receiving the care that they need, just because of that," Williams Veterinarian Daniel Jacoby said.

The 23-foot mobile clinic will drive down to Tusayan for dog and cat owners once a month, starting July 20. The clinic has dates planned for Aug. 17, Sept. 14 and Oct. 12. Jacoby said that with the mobile unit, he will be able do everything he can do at the clinic except for anesthetic and surgerical procedures.

"We just purchased it two weeks ago," Jacoby said. "Still putting the finishing touches on it."

As always, the mobile clinic will tend to appointments first, but will accept walk-ins, though they may have to wait to be seen.

The Williams clinic is located at 122 S. Third St. and its hours of operation are Wednesday-Friday 7:30 a.m. - 6 p.m. and Saturday 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. Additional information is available by visiting williamsveterinaryclinic.com or by calling the office at (928) 635-5392.
