Grand Canyon School sunset concert Thursday
GRAND CANYON, Ariz. - Grand Canyon School (GCS) music teacher Bentley Monk welcomes the entire community to open their eyes to a "concert on the green," tomorrow at 6 p.m. at the soccer fields.
The choir, comprised of GCS students from second to twelfth grade, will sing a Beatles medley. After a variety of additional performances, the high school band will conclude the program by playing the Grand Canyon Suite as the sun goes down. The event is free and serves as a fundraiser for the music program.
"Everyone's been working on this concert for around eight to 10 weeks," Monk said.
Students will sell hamburgers, hotdogs, sodas and desserts for a cost. More information is available by calling GCS at (928) 638-2461.
