Christmas Bazaar and Craft Sale Dec. 6
On Saturday, Dec. 6 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Grand Canyon Community Church will have a Christmas Bazaar and Craft Sale at the Grand Hotel in Tusayan. Items for sale include candles, jewelry, pottery, scarves, hats, quilted items, handmade goods and more. Grand Canyon Rotary on the Rim Holiday Dinner Dance Dec. 6
Dinner and raffle tickets for Grand Canyon Rotary's Denim and Diamonds dinner dance can now be purchased. The event takes place at the El Tovar Hotel, Grand Canyon, Dec. 6. and features live music from The John Rueter Band and a raffle with winnings as much as $5,000 cash. Introduction to song writing and music theory
Dec. 16
A music class takes place Tuesday, Dec. 16 at 10 a.m. at the Grand Canyon Recreation Center, 2 Mohave Street Grand Canyon. Artist Evan Rice will teach an introductory class about song writing and music theory. The class is for anyone interested and wanting to know more about writing music and how making music works. Grand Canyon Yoga
An all level yoga class, taught by Jennifer Allen, meets from 5:45 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday nights at the Grand Canyon Recreation Center, 2 Mohave Street Grand Canyon.
Zumba with Haley
Zumba with Haley is a free dance class. Zumba meets at the Grand Canyon Recreation Center, 2 Mohave Street Grand Canyon. Every Monday from 7 p.m. from 9 p.m. Zumba is a Latin inspired dance fitness program. Participants should bring exercise clothes and water.
Yongshidao-Self Defense Class
Learn how to defend yourself with Mater Michael Martinez at his Yongshidao self defense class. The class is free and meets twice a week, Sundays and Tuesdays from 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Grand Canyon Recreation Center, 2 Mohave Street Grand Canyon, Arizona.
Grand Canyon chapter of Alcoholics Anonymous
South Rim
Members of the Grand Canyon chapter of Alcoholics Anonymous meet three times weekly at the South Rim. The group meets Mondays. Wednesdays and Fridays in the Kachina Room of Kachina Lodge at the Grand Canyon. Meetings for the group, which has been in existence at the Grand Canyon for 15 years, begin at 7 p.m.
