Grand Canyon Community Bazaar Nov. 1

The Grand Canyon Holiday Community Bazaar is Saturday, Nov. 1 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Grand Canyon REC center, 2 Mohave Street Grand Canyon, Ariz The bazaar will feature handmade items, Grand Canyon candles, leather wares, baked goods, Navajo tacos and much more. Girls on the Run 5k at Buffalo Park Nov. 8

Girl's on the Run with Grand Canyon School will run a 5k Nov 8 at Buffalo Park in Flagstaff, Ariz. The run starts at 10 a.m. Girls are matched with running buddies who sign up for the race, Girls on the Run is open to girls in third through fifth grades and sixth through eighth grades and is open to home-school children. 2nd Annual Tusayan Trunk or Treat

Friday, Oct. 31 Tusayan will hold their second annual Trunk or Treat event from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the parking lot between R.P.'s Stage Stop and the IMAX theater.

Tonto Natural Bridge State Park hiking trip Oct. 24

On Friday, Oct. 24. the Grand Canyon Recreation Center is hiking at the Tonto Natural Bridge State Park. The trip fee is $25 per person. You must pay in advance to reserve a seat. Trip fee includes transportation and admission into the state park.

Participants will be able to explore the Tonto Natural Bridge State Park, located near Payson, Ariz. and hike to the base of the bridge. Hikers are asked to bring their ID, watch/cell phone, sturdy shoes, water bottle and snacks. The group meets at the REC center lobby, 2 Mohave Street Grand Canyon, Ariz at 7:45 a.m. More information available at 928-638-3389.

Flagstaff Day of the Dead Festival Oct. 27

On Sunday, Oct. 27. the Grand Canyon Recreation Center will visit Flagstaff for the 11th Annual Day of the Dead Festival. The trip is an authentic celebration of Hispanic cultures at the Museum of Northern Arizona in Flagstaff. Trip Fee is $15 per person and covers transportation, Entry into the museum is extra. Please pay in advance to reserve a seat. The group meets in the REC center lobby, 2 Mohave Street Grand Canyon, Ariz. at 9:45 a.m. Participants are encouraged to bring ID, water bottle, watch/cell phone and spending money. Grand Canyon School Fall Carnival Oct. 25

On Saturday, Oct. 25. Grand Canyon School will hold a Fall Carnival. The carnival, sponsored by student council, takes place in the Grand Canyon School multi-purpose room from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. activities include games, food and cosutme contest for everyone.
