GRAND CANYON, Ariz. - On Nov. 7 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Kaibab Learning Center (KLC) will host its annual western dance. The event will take place at The Grand hotel in Tusayan and will feature live music, raffles, food, drinks and more.
"We have food for 100 people and it's in The Grand's dining room," said Michelle Pahl, director at Kaibab Learning Center. "We will have raffle tickets and this year we decided to do fewer raffles but awesome prizes."
Prizes will include four hopper tickets to Disneyland, Bearizona passes for a carload of people, a sunset tour for two from Pink Jeep tours, dinner for two at the El Tovar and a one-hour massage among other prizes.
Pahl is confident this is going to be one of the best western dances the learning center has hosted.
"We got the food donated, the (venue) donated, a D.J. donated, the prizes donated...it's going to be off the hook," she said. "I'm so excited."
Food was donated by The Grand hotel in Tusayan, who also will service the event and have provided the dining facility.
The western dance is an annual event and is one of the biggest fundraisers for KLC. All proceeds will go back to KLC for general upkeep at the facility.
Tickets cost $25 per adult and $10 per child. More information or to purchase a ticket is available from Michelle Pahl at (928) 638-6333.
