Grand Canyon National Park seeking information on vandalism

GRAND CANYON, Ariz. - On May 22, a visitor at the South Rim of Grand Canyon observed a couple spray painting graffiti on rocks.

The National Park Service (NPS) and U.S. Park Rangers at Grand Canyon National Park (GCNP) are seeking information about two individuals who may have vandalized rocks near the Yavapai Geology Museum.

The visitor who observed the vandalism was able to capture images of the individuals and the vandalism. The individuals painted "Evans 16" on a rock feature and left the area before Park Rangers could contact them.

Any visitor in the park May 22 who possibly saw the individuals near Yavapai Geology Museum or recognizes them from the image can contact the NPS Investigative Services Branch anonymous Tip Line at (888) 653-0009.
