GRAND CANYON, Ariz. - For the week of June 13 - 24, a British soccer camp put on by challengesports.com was held on the Grand Canyon School soccer field.

The camp helped 11 local students improve their skills while enjoying a week of entertainment and learning with British soccer coaches Jack Murphy and Danielle Westernman. Students participated in different themes each day, including wacky Wednesday, giving the kids and coaches a chance to wear crazy socks and shirts and paint on their faces.

Murphy and Westernman said this is their second and third year coaching with Challenge Sports and said their time at Grand Canyon has been enjoyable. In addition to coaching during the day Murphy and Westsernman hiked the Canyon and took a flight over the Canyon on a helicopter tour. The two said coaching at Grand Canyon has been enjoyable because of the community atmosphere and the small but talented group of children they have coached.

"It's been great here," Murphy said. "We are really loving it and everyone has been so nice - really enjoying our time with the Grand Canyon community."
