Phantom players recognized at annual school sport's banquet Feb. 19

GRAND CANYON, Ariz. - Grand Canyon School held its annual sports banquet Feb. 19 to help recognize the efforts of the athletic department and some key players.

For the Lady Phantoms, Natalia Ramos was named Rookie of the Year, Karina Ibarra received most improved award, Yubiana Jaime received an award for defensive player, Mariela Montano for hustle and Yesenia Rodriguez was named Most Valuable Player.

For the boys, Phantoms player Ian jones was named Most Valuable Player, Neegoh Kaska was Best Defensive Player, Nick Gomez received a hustle award and Aleryn Reid was named Rookie of the Year and most improved.
