Grand Canyon Track and Field headed for State
GRAND CANYON, Ariz. - The Grand Canyon High School track team finished the season with a number of personal records. During the Winslow meet April 22 and Snowflake meet April 27 the team. Track coach Elna Perkins said some team members will go on to compete at the state meet at Mesa Community College May 6 and 7.
"Neegoh Kaska in the discus and the shot put, Melisha Jeter-Nanacasia is in the shot put, Candy Lopez is in the high jump, Meaghan Donehoo is in the 4x400 relay, Josephina Legaspi is in the 4x800 relay and Mariela Montano, Monica Dimas, Jessica Richardson will compete in the high jump and Savannah Perkins are all in the 4x400 relay and the 4x800 relay," she said. "(They) did a great job this season."
