During an April 2 work session, the Coconino County Board of Supervisors issued a resolution in support of a permanent ban on uranium mining around the Grand Canyon and its watershed.
Six million visitors travel to Arizona every year to see the Grand Canyon. The majority will explore it from the scenic overlooks along the South Rim.
