Helen L. Lonsway, 74, died Oct. 8, 2001 in Tucson. She was born March 7, 1927 in Findlay, Ohio. Since 1990, she lived in Williams with her eldest daughter and son-in-law, Phyllis and Rudy Wieclaw.
Mrs. Lonsway was preceded in death by two sons. Survivors include eight daughters, four sons, five sisters, one brother, 28 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She was buried in Tucson next to her two sons.
Williams native, Mary M. Rojo, 84, died Oct. 13, 2001 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Phoenix. She was born Nov. 24, 1916 in Williams, the daughter of Mateo and Eloisa Mora.
Mrs. Rojo worked at several Williams businesses over the years, including Sprouse-Reitz, Western Auto, Coronet and as a nurses aide at Williams Hospital.
She was preceded in death by her husband, C.P. Rojo, two sisters and a brother.
Survivors include four children and their spouses, Eloise and James Seel, who reside north of Williams; Veronica and Leon Hudspeth and Henry and Melvina Lira, all of Clarkesville, Ark., and Ramona and Albert Casadas of Flagstaff; a sister, Becky Ozbun, of Demming, N.M.; a brother, Longie Mora of Sun City, Calif.; nine grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Services were held Oct. 20 at Stewart Chapel in Williams with interment following in Williams Cemetery.
