Ranger of the Year makes billboard headlines in Phoenix

GRAND CANYON, Ariz. - Grand Canyon park ranger Bil Vandergraff was presented the Harry Yount National Park Ranger Award in Washington, D.C. June 25. Vandergraff, better known as One L Bill, is a living legend among his peers and was recognized for his efforts in helping with over 2,000 search and rescue operations and for over 3,000 days helping visitors below the Canyon's rim.
